The intelligent, hardworking and creative children from 4R were given the task of feeding the birds that visit the 'Heald Place Pocket Garden'
Each child was given some wood, some screws and an electric screwdriver and was asked to create a bird house so that the smaller birds could go for feed without being disturbed by the larger birds. The children did a fantastic job and every single child successfully used the tools and equipment to create their very own bird house.
The children had an excellent time working out how to put their houses together and experimenting with the different possibilities. Some of the houses weren't going the way the children expected but, because of their resilience and determination and fantastic teamwork they were able to work together to figure out where they had gone wrong and make the necessary changes.
Well done Year 4!
