Introduction to Reception.
The Foundation Stage is where our children begin to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding. Our children are nurtured and are supported in developing their characteristics of effective learning: playing and exploring; active learning; and, creating and thinking critically.
The children develop their skills in Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language as well as Physical Development. These skills then help the children to develop their abilities in Literacy Development, Mathematical Development, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design. Each individual child has their own unique learning journey.
The key workers across the Foundation Stage support the children's progress and next steps by personalising the learning to meet their needs.
